Human rights are inherent to all human beings, irrespective of race, sex, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. These rights encompass the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work, participation in political organization, and access to education, among others. Everyone is entitled to these rights without discrimination.
Bangladesh Human Rights Watch (BHRW) envisions a secular Bangladesh where the human rights of individuals across all faiths, races, and ethnicities are respected. Leveraging our global Bangladeshi diaspora, we aim to heighten awareness within the international community regarding the injustices occurring within Bangladesh.
This website serves as a resource for individuals in vulnerable situations to confidentially report atrocities and discrimination via our evidence collection portal. An expert team of international legal professionals stands ready to provide assistance.
The organization was established in 2002 in response to the human rights violations in Bangladesh and is funded through individual donations. We respectfully request small contributions to support our ongoing efforts to amplify the voices within Bangladesh and work towards the restoration of human rights, democracy, and dignity. BHRW is a not-for-profit organization, registered under the charter of New York State law, and collaborates with numerous international human rights organizations in the US, UK, and Europe.
Thank you for visiting the BHRW website. We deeply appreciate your support.
