As an advocate for human rights and a supporter of the Bangladesh Human Rights Watch (BHRW), I am writing to express a matter of grave concern regarding the recent unjust arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, affectionately known as Chinmoy Prabhu to the Sanatan community.
As one of the prominent leaders of ISKCON and the spokesperson of Sanatan Jagoran Mancha, Chinmoy Prabhu has been at the forefront of advocating for the rights of Hindus in Bangladesh. He has been tirelessly defending the Hindu community and questioning the government about their indifference to their plight, especially in the face of attacks by radical Islamist mobs.
Chinmoy Prabhu has organized significant rallies under the banner of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagoran Mancha, aiming to unify the Hindu community and demand basic rights that should inherently be respected. During these rallies, he was peacefully socializing and advocating for these rights, a fundamental aspect that should be considered by any just government.
The unjust arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari is seen as an attempt to suppress the voice of the religious minorities particularly Hindus and deny their basic freedom of expression. This action is a direct affront to the principles of justice and human rights.
We, therefore, demand the immediate and unconditional release of Chinmoy Prabhu. It is imperative that his rights, along with the rights of the Hindu community, are respected and upheld.
